TPC Sawgrass is the center of the PGA TOUR universe.  Home to the Tour’s most prestigious wholly hosted event, The Players Championship (as the Major Championships are shared with the PGA of America, USGA, R&A and Augusta National). The Players is a showcase of not only the best overall field in golf but is adjacent to the headquarters of the PGA TOUR itself. The existing clubhouse sets the mark for the PGA TOUR events as a beautiful backdrop to one of the best finishing holes and finishing stretches golf has to offer.

The international and domestic media converges on the property each May as the Players Championship is often considered to host the best overall field in golf with players competing from around the world. Method 3 was hired to share in the development of a state of the art Media Center that will match the standard of the PGA TOUR rich history and seamlessly add to the showcase that is the Sawgrass Clubhouse.

The new Media Center will house all aspects of the media’s coverage of the Players Championship with strategically designed flash and scrum areas, a studio amphitheater environment designed to host press conferences and all studio based coverage before the event, during the event and throughout the PGA TOUR year.  A state of the art media workroom along with the studio will require a new control room setting. These key areas along with the public spaces including the lobby/entrance area will share design characteristics that fit the current state of the PGA TOUR and its associated brand.
